There is nothing more exciting that discovering a new cruise ship.

Or planning and booking your next trip on board a new vessel with new, groundbreaking features. With that in mind we have complied a list of some of the most exciting new launches for 2018. Cruise companies are constantly pushing those boundaries, scrambling to bring something unique to the market. And as such, this year promises to be an exciting year in the cruise industry.

So here we go, the new and exciting cruise ships to set sail in 2018

April 2018

Carnival Horizon

Not long to go before the launch of Carnival Horizon and she looks impressive, offering some firm favourites such as the sky ride the suspended two-lane course bike course set above deck. There are also many indoor activities such as mini-bowling and pool. And for those sport lovers an outdoor soccer, volleyball and ping-pong are the perfect place to hang out.

But also featuring the new and exciting Dr Seuss water park for hours of water fun and the Havana bar and pool, an exclusive retreat to paradise by day, but becomes a hot dance spot when the sun goes down. The perfect place to sample Cuban inspired cocktails. Whilst adrenaline junkies can make the most of the  side-by-side racing slides, splashy water-spray toys and a giant tipping top-hat.

Norwegian Bliss

Norwegian bliss is the stuff of dreams for  the Christie boys, did you ever imagine  cruise ship that would have a race track and a laser tag area, which looks like something out of Star Wars? Add that to the incredible dining options and shows to make you feel like you are having a night out in the West End. Making this the ultimate destination ship that you probably wont want to get off.

Symphony of the Seas

This promises to be Royal Caribbean’s biggest and best ship yet offering new and exciting restaurants including a Mexican and Seafood bar, Sports, Burger and Ice Cream, Sweet shop. New and exciting shows and a bigger and better Ultimate Abyss. And check out the family cabins.

MSC Seaview

Seaview has a art deco inspired look with its South Beach pool area and clean lines, giving the sheep a contemporary look. Offering an exciting multi story Aqua Park that reaches out of the sea for the ultimate thrill ride. Two full sized bowling alleys and a host of exciting restaurants.

Holland And America’s Nieuw Statendam

At the heart of the ship, Nieuw Statendam’s central atrium soars three decks high, the atrium is capped by a ceiling that serves as a backdrop for subtly changing high-definition projections. By day you’ll see wispy cirrus clouds floating overhead. In the evening, the atrium takes on dramatic lighting hues or reflects the clear constellations of the night sky.

The cabins feature touches such as bedside USB ports, and also offer exclusive Family Ocean-view Staterooms that can accommodate up to five people, perfect for travelling families.

So exciting! I love cruising, we’ve taken my daughter on two cruises by this point, and we loved both. The Carnival ship we took was a bit dated but we still had a lot of fun. The new Norwegian ship looks amazing! #Mondayescapes

Taking a cruise is super high on my list of travel wishes. It seems to be the one thing we’ve never gotten around to! It seems like an absolutely perfect thing to do with kids… #mondayescapes

PS: You’ve got a typo under MSC Seaview (“sheep” instead of ship) 😉
