April 30, 2018 by Sarah Christie 16 Comments

Last week I got to try out all that Norwegian Cruise Line’s newest ship, and get some Norwegian Bliss pictures. But also find out, is Norwegian Bliss Great For Teens and Is Norwegian Bliss Family Friendly?

I went to particularly find out whats on the Norwegian Bliss For Teens and families?  And in doing so, have discovered that this may be one of the best cruise lines for children and teenagers.

Norwegian Bliss is packed with exciting family activities. Thus ensuring your family cruise has the perfect balance of family and chill time.

NCL Bliss For Families, What’s Included In The Cruise Fare? Along With A Few Norwegian Bliss Pictures To Give You A Feel Of This Stunning Ship.

You can spend as much or little as you want to on NCL with the Premium All Inclusive package. All inclusive cruising give you the peace of mind that meals, gratuities, 100 minutes of Wi-Fi and meals in certain restaurants are included in the price of your cruise fare. (There is a surcharge for certain speciality restaurants and activities)

This means the kids can eat free cake and ice cream from the buffet restaurant to their hearts content. Thus keeping kids hydrated is not a problem with free-flowing drinks on those hot sunny Caribbean days at sea. And for the parents? Also all alcoholic drinks are included up to $15, as are speciality coffees in the restaurants.

Dining, which restaurants are included in the cost of my cruise?

For complimentary dining check out Savour and Taste these are main dining rooms, which offer slightly different menus but with an à la carte feel you would expect on a cruise ship.

The Manhattan Room is also complimentary. It is a large elegant dining room serving a range of dishes, which vary from night to-night.

The Garden Café buffet offers a huge selection of worldwide cuisine to satisfy even the fussiest of eaters and is a great option for a more relaxed dinner. Perfect for those evening where you just want to chill, or when teens have an action packed itinerary planned and don’t have time for formal dining. Try out the Asian section omg……

The Local is a 24-hour causal restaurant, which features comfort foods and cold beer on tap
a great chilled out place to grab a quick dinner without the hustle and bustle.

The Entourage Teen Club.

There are many kid’s club options, and a full itinerary, which you find in your cruise ship news that lands in your cabin every evening. I have also included a few pictures of the Norwegian Bliss kids clubs.

Entourage is a place where teens can hang out and meet new friends. Ages 13-17 are welcome to join Entourage, which offers a cool laid back environment with gaming, and chill out areas. This is the perfect environment for teens to meet new friends and enjoy an area of their very own that feels a little more grown up.

Guppies Play Area

Families with kids under 3 have the option of visiting the Guppies play area. For more on Guppies and cruising kids up to the age of 13 see my post over on Mini Travellers here.

Activities On Norwegian Bliss For Teens, And for a little fun family time head to the Racing Track on the Norwegian Bliss.

Apart from all the exciting itineraries the reason Norwegian Bliss is so Family Friendly is the deck activities. With the biggest racetrack at sea for nominal charge budding race drivers over 1.2 meters can burn rubber on deck. Take part in tournaments and meet new friends. The racetrack is electric thus meaning there is no noise to disturb other guests. Check out my Norwegian Bliss pictures of the race track.

What does the Norwegian Bliss Racing Track cost?

You need to book at a cost of $5 per go, but you get quite a few laps, which made it well worth the cost.

Or check out the Norwegian Bliss Laser Tag on deck 20!

The Laser Tag area on the Norwegian Bliss is themed as an abandoned space station. The course comes to life day and night as guests compete against family and friends with state-of-the art laser guns. Also the course theming is incredible, featuring encapsulated aliens and hidden corners making the experience fun but eerie and energetic at the same time. This is the perfect place to burn off extra energy.

What does the Norwegian Bliss laser tag cost?

Again this is a bookable activity with a price tag of $5.

Are there large water slides on the Norwegian Bliss for teens?

That what makes Norwegian Bliss Family Friendly, it caters for all ages. Alongside the water park for younger children, there are also water slides of extraordinary proportions for thrill seeking teens.

The Aqua Park on NLC Bliss features two water slides including the high-speed Ocean Loops, a double loop water slide that extends over the side of the ship. And the tandem Aqua Racer, here guests can race side-by-side on inner tubes. And for a little chill time in the sun.

The Aqua Park features two swimming pools and six infinity hot tubs on the deck above it that scale over the side of the ship offering breath-taking views.

Are the Cabins big enough for families of 5 on Norwegian Bliss?

Yes, I stayed in a junior suite that was more than big enough to accommodate and family of 4, there are also family suites available for families of 5 and Haven Suites to accommodate families of six. Of course you can also book interconnecting staterooms to give you that extra bit of space. This is such great news as it means larger families can cruise!

In addition to keeping your cabin tidy, your cabin steward is on hand to convert your cabin. So you go from having a lounge area to extra beds at night.  Making living in a cruise cabin easy and comfortable. It is like having two rooms in one but without the effort.

Whether you are cruising to Alaska or cruising to the Caribbean Bliss has it all.

Family cruising just got a whole lot more fun, with Norwegian Bliss offering a full schedule of family friendly activities, fantastic food and exciting itineraries. I honestly can’t think of a better family cruise ship to see the world on.
