Today, Universal Orlando Resort has unveiled a first look inside the breathtaking, full-scale recreation of the British Ministry of Magic, which will serve as the setting for their innovative new attraction, Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry.

Located within The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, the groundbreaking attraction promises to be Universal’s most ambitious ride to date, combining intricately detailed environments, captivating storytelling, cutting-edge ride technology, and much more to immerse guests in an action-packed adventure centred around the trial of the infamous Dolores Umbridge.

Set To Open On 22 May 2025 At Universal Epic Universe

Much like Hogwarts Castle in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade and Gringotts Bank in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley, the towering scale and meticulous details of the British Ministry of Magic are set to amaze visitors. They will be fully immersed in yet another iconic location from the beloved Warner Bros. Harry Potter films.

Here’s A Closer Look At Some Of The Details Guests Can Expect In Harry Potter And The Battle At The Ministry:

Guests will journey through the usually restricted government building, exploring the grand Ministry atrium, Dolores Umbridge’s office, other Ministry departments, and more. The adventure culminates in a ride aboard magical, omnidirectional lifts to bring Dolores Umbridge to justice once and for all.

Métro-Floo Corridor

Guests will begin their journey in wizarding Paris, the setting for other exciting experiences inspired by the Fantastic Beasts films within The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic. From there, they’ll travel to the Ministry via the Métro-Floo, a unique transport system inspired by the iconic Floo Network. Emerging from the fireplace-like structures seen in the films, guests will find themselves in the Ministry’s lobby.

The Ministry of Magic Atrium

The jaw-dropping grand atrium of the Ministry comes to life in this attraction. Guests will encounter the restored Fountain of Magical Brethren statue, the enchanting weather ceiling, and an endless array of offices stretching from floor to ceiling. As part of the queue, visitors will discover that their visit coincides with Dolores Umbridge’s trial for her crimes against the wizarding world.

Ministry Reception

Guests will pass by the Ministry Reception, usually bustling with wizards seeking information. However, on this special day, the area will be empty, as the entire Ministry is preoccupied with preparations for Umbridge’s trial.

Dolores Umbridge’s Office

Illuminated by a glittering chandelier, Dolores Umbridge’s office is as extravagant as the character herself, with its pink hues and ornate gold details. Guests will also meet Higgledy, Umbridge’s former house-elf, who is busy tidying up the office ahead of the trial.

Daily Prophet, Memos, and Other Wizarding Details

Throughout their visit, guests can spot iconic details from the films, including the latest edition of the Daily Prophet, interdepartmental memos fluttering through the air, and even belongings tied to their favourite characters.

Magical Ministry Lift

The magical, omnidirectional lifts—seating up to 14 guests—will transport visitors deeper into the Ministry for the climactic trial of Dolores Umbridge. Decorated in vibrant red and gold, these lifts offer a ride experience unlike any other, propelling passengers in all directions, just like in the films.

Harry Potter And The Battle At The Ministry Will Open At Epic Universe On 22 May 2025

And will form part of the third Harry Potter-themed land at Universal Orlando. Alongside the ride, guests can look forward to an all-new live show, Le Cirque Arcanus, inspired by the Fantastic Beasts films, as well as a variety of themed dining, retail experiences, interactive wand magic, and captivating entertainment.
