The Norwegian Encore Kids clubs and Youth Programmes offer playful spacious areas for kids of all ages. The service is complimentary and in the youth programme they can enjoy creative play, sports and lots more. NCL kids clubs also offer theme night activities and parties with the youth staff. The Norwegian Encore Kids Clubs and Youth Programmes are Fun, Spacious and full of colour
NCL has 5 kids clubs for all ages
The kids clubs on the Encore are for children 6 months to 17 years old which consists of:
- Guppies for 6 months to 3 years
- Turtles for 3-5 year olds
- Seals for 6-9 year olds
- Dolphins for 10-12 year olds
- The Teen club Entourage 12 – 17
Guppies baby club
The Guppies Programme offers parents many opportunities to interact with their babies and toddlers. To find the Guppies activities there is a programme for the dates and times. This timetabled programme varies per ship and itinerary.
River Rose Reading Room
The River Rose Reading room is a cosy room where you can read with your child. Inspired by Kelly Clarkson who is the author of River Rose children’s book and also the godmother of the Norwegian Encore.
Guppies Open Play
This play space is for parents and babies to play together. There is a variety of toys and interactive games and is not a drop off programme. The activities include Sensory Play, Music and Movement.
Guppies Hosted Activities
Activities are hosted by the Early Years staff for parents and babies. Again this is for the parents to enjoy time with their children and is is not a drop off programme.
Splash Academy
The Splash Academy is a drop off programme for children aged between 3 and 12 (Turtles, Seals, Dolphins) The club offers interactive, creative and active theme based programs.
The large spacious rooms have doors that allow the clubs to be separated or opened up for group play depending on the activities involved.
The entry doors are all electronic and safe and all Children have wrist bands.
Splash Academy Turtles Mini Club
Activities in the Turtle club include sensory play, circus school, story telling, parades, treasure hunts and also ballgames. Creative activities in the Turtles club (3-5 ) include Arts and Crafts and Painting
Seals Splash Academy Junior Club
You can expect to find activities in seals such as Circus Skills like Scarf Juggling, Plate Spinning, Devil Sticks, and Rope Spinning. There are lots of themed nights and plenty of team building challenges as well as creative activities and high energy sports activities. There are also video games though the club.
Dolphins Splash Academy Club
Dolphins have a variety of entertainment options in the NCL kids club such as Entourage Take-Over, Circus Skills which include; Stilts, Ball Juggling, Chinese Yo-Yo, Plate Spinner and Devil Sticks. They can also take part in Scavenger Hunts, Sports challenges, Team Building as well as Video Gaming.
You can authorise children of between 10-12 to have self sign out after two hours of the time slot should you wish.
Entourage Teens Club
Entourage is the teen hang out for 13 -17 years old. Teens need to sign up on arrival and need a teen wrist band to enter Entourage and be a member. This has to be the coolest lounge at sea! Teens can dance the night away or kick back and relax with a movie.
The large area is so hip and spacious and is perfect for those teens who want their own space. There is also an air hockey table and football table in the large open spaced room.
All activities are complimentary and supervised.
So what does Entourage have to offer teens 13 -17 years old?
The large programme includes, Circus skills, Dancing , video gaming, movies, sports activities, graffiti masterclasses and a relaxed area to chill out.
Kids club services
Late Night Fun Zone on NCL Encore
There is a late night fun zone that children can stay on in and have even more fun. This operates nightly from 10:30 p.m. – 1:30 a.m. The night zone in the Splash Academy is an extra charge.
Port Play
You can also drop off the kids to enjoy a shore excursion or a romantic night out. This is available on port days and every evening for children ages 3-12. There are extra fees for this activity.
How do you sign up for Norwegian Encore kids club?
For Guppies Nursery, Splash Academy, and Entourage, it is recommended that parents register their children or teens as soon as they board the ship. The Youth Counsellor onboard the ship will assist in getting wrist bands and advise on what happens in emergencies.
Guppies Nursery also requires reservations to book sessions with children and babies.
Kids Splash Zone on the NCL Encore
The cool splash zone on the Norwegian Encore is the perfect place for children too cool off.
Encore Kids Aqua Park.
There is a smaller splash park for toddlers, this splash park has mini slides, tipping buckets and shooters to play in. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
No swim nappies are allowed so this means no children who are not toilet trained, the same applies for the main pool
Encore water slides
The Ocean Loops and the Aqua Racer! These are the multi story high speed water slides for the adventurous older children.
The Ocean Loops slide looks hair-raising! It is almost a sheer drop so this has a minimum height requirement of 48 inches and a minimum weight of 130 lbs to ride.
You could also try the Aqua Racer which is slightly tamer and you can race your friends down on a tube, the minimum height again is 48 inches but there is no minimum weight to ride.
Handy phones
You will be given a beeper or a handy phone to keep in contact with your child. These only work at sea and not in port while the ship is docked.
