It is positioned on the port side near the front of the ship, this cabin offered not only a spacious layout but also a fantastic view of the bridge, which made it feel extra special. The unique shape of the room and the massive balcony gave us plenty of space to relax and enjoy the cruise. It truly felt like one of the most distinctive and memorable cabins aboard.

The balcony of this suite is one of its standout features. Not only is it unusually shaped, but it is also incredibly large, offering space for a full-sized dining table with five chairs and two sun loungers. For a Junior Suite, this balcony is among the largest you’ll find, providing plenty of room to relax and take in the sea views.

Inside, the room has an unusual V-shape, which adds character to the layout. As you enter, the bathroom is immediately to your right, with the wardrobe, dressing table, sofa, chair, and TV in the expansive part of the room. On the right side of the suite, you’ll find the bed, which can be configured as either two twin beds or a Royal King. The room also includes bedside cabinets and sockets conveniently located above the dressing table.

A Slightly Smaller Space Inside But Functional

While the room is slightly smaller compared to other Junior Suites, it’s still very functional, with ample storage. The wardrobe, although compact, worked well for hanging clothes, and suitcases could be tucked under the bed. The bathroom, featuring a tub, is typical of Junior Suites, offering comfort and practicality. I would say it would work perfectly for a week long cruise but you would struggle for space on a longer cruise. We moved the life jackets to the corner of the room so we had some space in the wardrobe.

One minor drawback is the size of the TV, which can feel small given the distance from the bed, but overall, the room is well-designed and comfortable.

There is a sofa bed and coffee table as well as a chair. I feel all that was missing was a footstool. Other than outside on the sun-beds there was not really a comfortable place to sit other than under the TV.

The bathroom was very roomy however there was no side space for toiletries. A were a few cupboards. There was a small shower type tub and toiletries provided were general Royal Caribbean ones and definitely not suite class toiletries.

Tea, Coffee Making Facilities

There was a coffee making machine on the side but i asked for a kettle for tea. Once the kettle arrived there was very little space for anything else.

Plugs in Cabin

There were plenty of plugs on the side for charging.

Cabin #1156 falls under Category J4 – Junior Suite, and can accommodate up to four guests. It’s a non-accessible and non-connecting cabin, offering a private retreat with a spacious balcony and cosy interior for a relaxing cruise experience. There were plenty of sockets as to be expected.
