Chef Tony Gemignani, celebrated as the greatest pizza maker in modern history, has crafted two exclusive pizzas for Princess Cruises. These creations feature a tantalising blend of flavours, including ingredients like Soppressata sausage, hot honey, agave pesto, and fresh goat cheese. Additionally, Chef Gemignani has shared recipes for three of his award-winning pizzas, elevating Princess Cruises’ reputation for offering the “Best Pizza at Sea.”

The record-breaking event was overseen by Guinness World Records adjudicator Callie Smith, who confirmed the achievement of Princess Cruises in setting this unprecedented record for a pizza extravaganza at sea.

The debut of Chef Gemignani’s pizzas will initially take place at Alfredo’s aboard the new Sun Princess, adding to the diverse culinary offerings available onboard. Plans are underway to introduce these pizzas across the entire Princess Cruises fleet by summer, following Chef Gemignani’s personal training of Princess chefs at his renowned Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco.

“Princess is dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences, and pizza is a cornerstone of that commitment,” said John Padgett, President of Princess Cruises. “Partnering with the legendary Tony Gemignani to set a Guinness World Records title for the ‘World’s Largest Pizza Party’ underscores our dedication to culinary excellence and guest satisfaction.”

Chef Tony Gemignani, a decorated pizzaiolo and accomplished chef, expressed his enthusiasm about bringing his hand-crafted pizzas inspired by global destinations to Princess Cruises’ dining venues. The pizzas will be prominently featured at Alfredo’s and Gigi’s speciality pizzerias, renowned for their charming ambience and delightful menu offerings.

Princess Cruises continues to innovate and entertain, having previously set Guinness World Records for hosting the largest marriage vow renewal ceremony and now adding the “World’s Largest Pizza Party” to its accolades. This achievement further cements Princess Cruises as a leader in providing extraordinary experiences for its guests.
