This is the same French yard that has produced several of Royal Caribbean’s biggest and boldest ships to date, including Wonder of the Seas and Utopia of the Seas.
The milestone was celebrated with the traditional steel-cutting ceremony, an age-old shipbuilding ritual that marks the very first stage of a new vessel’s construction. Executives from Royal Caribbean and Chantiers de l’Atlantique joined engineers, designers, and architects to officially set the process in motion, signalling the start of a multi-year journey that will culminate in the ship’s debut in 2028.
