Tour the Old Town
If you arrive Port d’Eivissa on a larger cruise ship you’re likely to be docked at Botafoc Pier which is a 30 minute walk from Ibiza Old Town or a short ride on the ship’s shuttle. Here you can take a walking tour or wander at your leisure around this medieval settlement. A walk up to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Dalt Vila is a must to appreciate the panoramic views across the town, coast and island. The streets are cobbled so make sure everyone wears sensible shoes for the climb. If you prefer to stay on the flat there’s plenty of shops and cafes to explore in the town.
Make a Splash at Aguamar Waterpark
There’s slides and water rides for all tastes and ages at Aguamar in Playa d’en Bossa. It’s the island’s largest waterpark and offers a whole day out for families seeking an alternative to a beach day. Get ready for foam slides, a black hole and spiral slides galore! The park has changing facilities, sun loungers and a restaurant.
Explore the colourful Can Marça Caves
These illuminated caves on the cliffs at Puerto San Miguelin in the north of the island are an epic sight. You enter them by walking down the side of the cliff on a steps fixed to the rock face. It’s not a descent for the faint-hearted but the ancient stalagmites, stalactites and underground lakes are worth it. The caves were once used by smugglers and are now lit up with spectacular music and light show for visitors.

Take a guided or self-drive tour of the island to discover its wonderful landscapes and rugged, yet captivating coastline. Ibiza is compact so you can see a lot in six hours including stopping to sample some of the island’s delicious seafood and maybe take a dip in the sea.
Visit a Hippie Market
There are several markets to visit on Ibiza but the largest and most famous are the Punta Arabà Hippy Market in Es Caná on Wednesdays and the Las Dalias Hippy Market in San Carlos on Saturdays. These are places to immerse yourself in bohemian culture of Ibiza. At Es Caná you’ll find a children’s area, bars and live music as well as stalls selling handmade clothing and jewellery. There’s more of the same at San Carlos which was the birth place of the hippy movement.
Grab Your Buckets and Spades for a Beach Day
If you fancy seeing a bit of the resort life on Ibiza head to Playa d’en Bossa – the island’s longest beach, which is lined with bars and hotels. For a more authentic Ibiza beach experience head north to Santa Eulà ria. It has 46km of coastline with some beautiful spots for quiet days by the sea, like Es Pou des Lleo.
Swing Through the Trees at Acrobosc Ibiza Adventure Park
This tree-top adventure in the Santa Eulalia area has 49 obstacles and 20 zip wires to challenge the whole family. Kids can monkey around on the green circuit from as young as three-years-old. Allow 2.5 hours for this excursion and make the most of the rest of your day with a visit to the crystal clear waters of Cala Pada beach just 100m away.
