How to Choose a Pair of Glasses For Travel

Share

Choosing a pair of glasses to correct your vision isn’t just about correcting your vision. Most glasses-wearers want to look good too! Additionally, if you have an active lifestyle, run a busy household, or spend extensive time looking at a screen, then there are other things to think about. Here are some ways to choose a pair of glasses.

Choose based on activity

If you spend a lot of time outdoors and travelling, then prescription sunglasses are the best option for you. In summer, they protect your eyes from sun and UV rays. In winter, they can also prevent the winter sun from obscuring your vision. Despite the cold, the sun can be brighter in winter, making it more difficult to see. If you already have vision problems, so this makes seeing more of a challenge.

You can buy high-quality sunglasses with prescription from EyeBuyDirect, at lower prices than you might expect.

Choose based on face shape

If you want your glasses to work with and enhance your look, then choose a pair that works with your face shape.

For example, full or semi-rimmed glasses work well if you have a round face. This means a pair of Ray-Ban Caribbean would look great on you. They have a unique design, available in two darker colours, which look equally as good in the workplaces as they do when you’re taking part in leisure activities.

Choose based on business

If you want a pair of glasses to make you look professional at work or out of work, and if you want to make an impression on anyone you might meet and network with, oval or rectangle shapes create the best professional looks.

Try to avoid bright colours or novelty shapes (hearts, etc) unless this represents your business in some way. Silver, brown or black are all neutral and sensible shades to choose from if you want to make a good impression at work or with a new client.

Or choose based on leisure

Outside of work, glasses worn during leisure time offer you the chance to express yourself and can be a little more flamboyant.

If you want to wear bright shades and try out different shapes, this is the best time to do it. Not all of these will suit you, but you might be surprised by how much these can change your look, and discover a style to make you stand out and feel confident.

Maybe you spend a lot of your leisure time being active; such as travelling, taking part in, or watching sports. You might consider a pair of glasses with sturdy frames to avoid them falling off and breaking. You can also get a chain to help with this or anti-slip hooks. Sometimes, cheap accessories like these can save you money in the long term. If you find a pair of glasses you love, you don’t want them to break, then have to pay out for a new pair or for repairs.

However you spend your time, there are styles of glasses to suit you. You may need to invest in several pairs, so you can switch from work to leisure. This can also make you shift your mindset between work mode and being off the clock.
