When booking a family cruise one of the main things to ensure is whether everyone will be happy. Also will there be enough for the kids to do? What will the kids club be like? And is there enough places for them to play? Thus we have created this Royal Caribbean Kids Clubs Guide to help you appreciate just how much fun you can expect your kids to have onboard Royal Caribbean ships.
Royal Caribbean Cruises separates children into six age groups, each with their own activities. I found this a huge comfort when our boys were younger.
It was always a concern that bigger more energetic kids might play a little tougher. Of course being a mum of older kids I now understand that older kids are just as soft, but bigger. Nonetheless it’s comforting for parents with little ones to know they are safe and playing with their own age group.
Royal Caribbean Adventure Ocean Kids Clubs Are Split Into The Following Age Groups
- Royal Tots & Babies 6- 36 months
- Aquanauts 3-5 years
- Explorers 6-8 years
- Voyagers 9-12 years
- Youngers Teens 13-14 years
- Older Teens 15-17 years
Are Royal Caribbean Kids Clubs Leaders Qualified?

In addition they must also have at least three years qualified experience in working with children ages six months to 17 years.
Similarly Nursery staff must have the same above qualifications but also attend a 30 hour Nursery Training to ensure they gain and meet with the Florida State Standards of care.
How To Register For The Babies, Kids And Teens Clubs On Royal Caribbean
On embarcation day the Royal Caribbean Kids Clubs are open for sign up, take you child along to have a look around and get a feel for the club, speak to the youth staff and find out about the planned activities for your cruise.
To register on the first day, you and anyone you wish to sign you child out of the club goes along to the meet and greet sessions, fill out the relevant forms and get your passports verified. You can also set up a password so that if a relative of friend does sign your child out it makes the process easier.
What Age Can My Children Use Self Sign Out
Can kids sign out from the kids club? From the age of 9-11 you can can give your child self sign out rights. This is not something we ever did as I didn’t want to not know where the. boys were. But this does work fine for some families.
Once they get to teen club age they can come and go from the club as they please.
