Royal Caribbean Adventure Ocean Kids Clubs Are Split Into The Following Age Groups
Royal Caribbean Cruises separates children into six age groups, each with their own activities. This is a huge comfort when your children are younger. It was always a concern that bigger more energetic kids might play a little tougher. Nonetheless it’s comforting for parents with little ones to know they are safe and playing with their own age group. The Adventure Ocean clubs are as follows;
- Royal Tots & Babies: 6- 36 months
- Aquanauts: 3-5 years
- Explorers: 6-8 years
- Voyagers 9-12 years:
- Youngers Teens:Â 13-14 years
- Older Teens:Â 15-17 years
Royal Caribbean’s Adventure Ocean club consists of the following groups;
- Aquanauts: For children aged 3-5 years
- Explorers: For children aged 6-8 years

The Teen clubs are made up of these teen groups;

Are Royal Caribbean Kids Clubs Leaders Qualified?
Yes, all kids activities are supervised by qualified male and female youth staff, of whom must also have a four year university degree or equivalent in education or recreation. In addition they must also have at least three years qualified experience in working with children ages six months to 17 years.
Similarly Nursery staff must have the same above qualifications but also attend a 30 hour Nursery Training to ensure they gain and meet with the Florida State Standards of care.
How To Register For The Babies, Kids And Teens Clubs On Royal Caribbean
On embarcation day the Royal Caribbean Kids Clubs are open for sign up, take you child along to have a look around and get a feel for the club, speak to the youth staff and find out about the planned activities for your cruise.
To register on the first day, you and anyone you wish to sign you child out of the club goes along to the meet and greet sessions, fill out the relevant forms and get your passports verified. You can also set up a password so that if a relative of friend does sign your child out it makes the process easier.
What Age Can My Children Use Self Sign Out
Can kids sign out from the kids club? From the age of 9-11 you can can give your child self sign out rights. This is not something we ever did as I didn’t want to not know where the. boys were. But this does work fine for some families.
Once they get to teen club age they can come and go from the club as they please.

Royal Tots & Babies Playgroup Sessions
From 6 months you can join your child in Royal Babies (6-18 months) or Royal Tots (18-36 months) with their interactive playgroup sessions including music, toys and learning activities. These sessions are 45-minutes long and you must accompany children.
Royal Babies & Tots Nursery
However the Royal Babies & Tots Nursery allow you to leave you child. Although comes at an extra fee. There is a charge of $6 per hour per child from 9 am till 6 pm and $8 per hour per child from 6 pm till midnight. Adventure Youth Programme Offers A Separate Club Area For Children Aged 3-12 Years.
Children must be 100% potty trained and nappy free, unless it is based on a disability. (Speak to the disability team for more information.)

- Aquanauts, 3-5 years
- Explorers, 6-8 years

Each room has its own activities area, and Internet consoles line at least one wall.

- Sea days – 9 am to 5 pm and 7 pm to 10 pm

Aquanauts For Children Aged 3-5 years
Expect little Aquanauts to enjoy making bubbling potions, enjoy finger Painting , take part in camp aquanaut, play building blocks, music activities , space nights and more. Parents of three-year olds can also opt for pagers so Adventure Ocean staff can stay in touch. This for us was a huge benefit as we could enjoy a romantic meal safe in the knowledge the boys were safe a happy.

The Late Night Party Zone for kids on Royal Caribbean
The Late Night Party Zone, Is a group sitting service for those kiddies who want to keep on partying, and is available for ages 3 – 12 from 10:00 pm to 2:00 am in the Adventure Ocean centre. We found our boys loved this as they got older, they used to beg to stay in longer when we went to collect them in the evening.
The cost for this service is $7/hour per child. Notably children attending must be at least 3 years old and also toilet trained – no diapers or pull-ups allowed.

As of right now (5/4/2022), the Royal Caribbean website says Voyagers are age 9-12, not 9-11, so I would assume that the Teens group is 13-17. 🙂
