Royal Caribbean Cruises separates children into six age groups, each with its own activities. This is a huge comfort when your children are younger. It was always a concern that bigger more energetic kids might play a little tougher. Nonetheless, it’s comforting for parents with little ones to know they are safe and playing with their own age group.

On embarcation day the Royal Caribbean Kids Clubs are open for sign up, take you child along to have a look around and get a feel for the club, speak to the youth staff and find out about the planned activities for your cruise.

To register on the first day, you and anyone you wish to sign your child out of the club go along to the meet-and-greet sessions, fill out the relevant forms, and have your passports verified. You can also set up a password so that if a relative or friend does sign your child out, it makes the process easier. Also, check the app to see if you can pre-register in the app.

Some Children Can Also Use Self Sign Out

From the age of 9-11, you can give your child self-sign-out rights. This is not something we ever did, as I wanted to know where the boys were. But this does work fine for some families.

Once they get to teen club age they can come and go from the club as they please.

  1. As of right now (5/4/2022), the Royal Caribbean website says Voyagers are age 9-12, not 9-11, so I would assume that the Teens group is 13-17. 🙂
