This immersive experience will transport guests into the beloved world of Nintendo characters, including Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Toad, and, making its U.S. debut, Donkey Kong.
Following its successful openings at Universal Studios Japan in 2021 and Universal Studios Hollywood in 2023, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD promises to captivate audiences once again as it becomes one of the five imaginative worlds at the brand-new Universal Epic Universe theme park.
1. Guests Will Immerse Themselves Into Much Loved Games
Developed through a collaboration between Universal Creative and Nintendo, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD merges iconic Nintendo characters with Universal’s expertise in crafting innovative theme park experiences, offering guests a multi-sensory environment to immerse themselves in the excitement of Nintendo games.
2. Step Into The Legendary Green Pipe
The adventure kicks off as guests step into the portal to SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, where they’ll be whisked away through the iconic green pipe into this immersive land. Emerging from the pipe, they’ll find themselves surrounded by vibrant scenery and a buzz of kinetic energy, instantly greeted by familiar sights and sounds reminiscent of their favorite Nintendo games. From the towering Mt. Beanpole and majestic Peach’s Castle to swaying Piranha Plants, pacing Goombas, spinning coins, and ? Blocks, every corner is alive with excitement.
Inside SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, guests can delve into two distinct realms: Super Mario Land, where they’ll embark on adventures alongside Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and other beloved characters, and Donkey Kong Country, where thrilling encounters await with Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, and the rest of the Kong family.
3. Visit Donkey Kong Country
Guests will embark on Mine-Cart Madness, a unique family Jungle Coaster experience where they join Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong in their quest to protect the coveted golden banana. This first-of-its-kind ride features an innovative ride system and coaster design, allowing riders to experience thrilling manoeuvres reminiscent of those seen in the video games. From being blasted out of barrels to navigating rickety tracks, riders will encounter exhilarating challenges throughout the jungle landscape.
4. Visit Super Mario Land
Visitors can look forward to experiences like Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, an innovative ride combining augmented reality and projection mapping technology, and Yoshi’s Adventure, a family-friendly ride through Mushroom Kingdom landscapes.
5. Ride Yoshi’s Adventure
Making its inaugural appearance at Universal Epic Universe, Yoshi’s Adventure ride invites guests of all ages on a captivating journey. Set against the backdrop of Super Mario Land, riders will accompany Yoshis as they traverse the picturesque landscapes of the Mushroom Kingdom in pursuit of luminous eggs. Along the way, they’ll encounter a host of familiar characters, adding to the excitement of this family-friendly adventure.
6. Eat at The ToadStool Cafe
To satisfy their appetites, guests can dine at the Toadstool Cafe, offering dishes inspired by Super Mario characters, and indulge in treats from Yoshi’s Snack Island and Turbo Boost Treats.
7. Power Up Bands At The 1-Up Factory
Additionally, guests can shop for souvenirs at the 1-UP Factory and Mario Motors, meet and greet their favourite characters, and enhance their experience with Power-Up Bands, wearable devices that unlock interactive features throughout the land.
