1. InterContinental Miami

Customers have rated the InterContinental Miami as one of the best hotels near the Miami cruise terminal. It’s just a 6-minute drive from the port, making it a convenient option for those setting off on a cruise.

With views of Biscayne Bay, an onsite spa, an outdoor swimming pool, and a few fine dining options available, the hotel offers everything you could possibly need for a one or two-night stay.

Upon booking, guests will have the choice between a classic queen, classic king, or one-bedroom suite. However, all rooms at the InterContinental come with a refrigerator, coffee-making facilities, and a seating area for your convenience.

2. Hilton Miami Downtown

The Hilton Miami Downtown Hotel is roughly a seven-minute taxi, Uber, or Lyft drive from the port. And features a heated outdoor pool, a fitness center, and an onsite restaurant that guests can make use of before setting off on their cruise vacation.

If you’re travelling with another couple, then the hotel’s queen rooms with two queen beds would be an excellent way to keep costs to a minimum. However, even the king rooms with all the necessary amenities are fairly priced, considering the hotel’s location and onsite facilities.

3. Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay

If you’re looking for a hotel with nearby attractions, then the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay is the hotel option for you. This hotel, which is located just a five-minute drive from the Bayside Marketplace, 9-minutes from the port, and within walking distance of the museum park and performing arts center, puts you right in the heart of the arts and entertainment district, which in turn, gives you plenty of things to see and do before your upcoming cruise.

Onsite, you’ll have access to free wifi, signature restaurants on the waterfront, a business center and a gym. Plus, you can take an afternoon dip in the pool and marvel at the beautiful views of Biscayne Bay.

In addition to incredible views from the pool, those same ocean views also extend to some of the hotel’s rooms. With king rooms or double queen bed rooms to choose from, you’ll find there is plenty of space to spread out and start your holiday off on the right foot.

4. Pullman Miami Airport Hotel

If you’re flying into Miami Airport, then the Pullman Miami Airport Hotel can be a great hotel option—especially as it offers a free airport shuttle.

Now we will say that as the Pullman is so close to the airport, isn’t the nearest hotel to the Miami Cruise Port. But it is just 20 minutes away. So you can easily book an Uber to get you to the port with plenty of time to spare.

Onsite amenities at the Pullman include an outdoor swimming pool, a restaurant, and a bar. Plus, if you do like to stay active while on holiday, then you can make use of the hotel’s gym before heading up to your double queen bed or king bed room.

6. Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Miami Downtown/Brickell

7. citizenM Miami Worldcenter

One of the nearest hotels to the port of Miami is the citizenM Miami Worldcenter. And by close, we mean close as the hotel is just a 5-minute drive from the terminals. So, you’ll really have no excuse not to be late.

Offering its guests an outdoor swimming pool, a restaurant, and a fitness centre. Along with rooms that they’ve fitted with all the necessary amenities, the citizenM Miami Worldcenter is an excellent hotel option for cruisers after a one-night stay.

We will say that the rooms are extremely small at the citizenM Miami Worldcenter. But as you’re only spending the night, this shouldn’t be too much of an issue!

8. The Elser Hotel Miami

Another hotel that’s under a 5-minute drive from the port of Miami is The Elser Hotel Miami. And in a similar fashion to the citizenM, it boasts an outdoor swimming pool, a restaurant, and a gym.

As The Elser Hotel Miami is a four-star hotel, its facilities and accommodation options are on the high end of the scale. But the rooms that are equipped with a full kitchen, a partitioned-off seating area, and a sleek modern bathroom truly reflect that and offer ample amounts of space to spread out and relax.

9. Mint House Miami

One of the best hotels near the Miami cruise port for those who enjoy their space and prefer to have everything they could possibly need on hand is the Mint House Miami. Rather than offering guests standard hotel rooms, the Mint House Miami provides studio apartments. These apartments feature a full kitchen, a separate living area, and even a washing machine.

The hotel’s awesome amenities further extend into their common areas. So, by staying at Mint House Miami, you’ll have access to a children’s playground, a minimarket, a swimming pool, and a fitness centre. So it really is a great option for families with little ones.

10. Mandarin Oriental Miami

A ten-minute drive from the port of Miami is the Mandarin Oriental Miami, which offers stunning views of the Miami skyline and Biscayne Bay. As the Mandarin Oriental provides an infinity-edge outdoor pool, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and a full spa, your holiday will be off to a bang before even setting foot on the ship

Add in the hotel’s large, luxurious rooms, and there really is no faulting this hotel near the Miami cruise port.

Getting to the Port

The best way to get to the port from a nearby hotel is to book an Uber. As many hotels are within close proximity of the port, an Uber shouldn’t cost more than $20 and you can fix the price. We made the mistake of getting a taxi from a stand on one trip and it cost almost double.

How Far is the Miami Cruise Port from the Airport?

The Miami cruise port is 8 miles from Miami International (MIA) Airport—roughly a 20-minute drive. The Miami Trolley is the only public transportation option that serves the Port of Miami.

Can You Walk From Downtown Miami to the Cruise Port?

There are roughly 2 miles between Downtown Miami and the Miami Cruise Port. And if you were to walk over the bridge via Port Boulevard, it would take you around 30 minutes. So yes, it’s completely doable.  However, an Uber would take as little as 5 minutes and cost under $15.
