Walking into Liverpool city centre along the Princes Parade takes around 11 minutes and is 0.5 miles from Liverpool Cruise Terminal.

You call an Uber from the port. depending on how quickly you get a driver, it only takes 3 minutes to drive the 0.5 miles of Princes Parade until you are in the city centre of Liverpool. There is also the Liverpool Port Taxi Service in the port of Liverpool if you do not use Uber.

The Royal Albert Dock
Royal Albert Dock has recently been renovated and is one of the crowning achievements of modern Liverpool. It pays homage to the past while looking to the future. It’s a 15-minute walk along the front of the River Mersey from the cruise port. Alternatively you can take a five-minute taxi ride to get from one side of the port to the other. We recommend the walk, though, as it is straight and easy for almost anyone.
Along the walk, you will also get the chance to take a look at the Titanic Memorial. The Titanic Memorial to Heroes of the Marine Engine Room is a beautiful granite monument at St. Nicholas Place. The Titanic is inherently connected to Liverpool as the famous doomed vessel was registered in the city and had the name Liverpool on its stern. As we mentioned at the start of this guide, it is approximately 0.5 miles from Liverpool City Centre from Liverpool Cruise Terminal and takes 11 minutes to walk and 3 minutes in a taxi or Uber. Liverpool ONE Shopping Centre
Liverpool ONE is one of Europe’s largest and leading shopping and leisure destinations. Built around existing streets within the city centre, it comprises 1.65m square feet and features more than 170 shops, restaurants, bars and entertainment venues like an indoor golf course, 14-screen cinema and a five-acre park.
It takes in five areas, Leisure Terrace across from Chavasse Park, Hanover Street, Peter’s Lane, South John Street, and Paradise Street. Each area, or district referred to at the complex, offers a different collection of spots to shop, eat, drink or play.

Hanover Street
Another district of the shopping centre where you will find some stunning restaurants and bars is Hanover Street. Explore The History Of The Beatles On Mathew Street
Originally called Mathew Pluckington Street! Mathew Street is one of the world’s most famous streets. One of the most noteworthy things about Mathew Street that make it a huge tourist attraction is that’s home to the Cavern Club. Where four young lads had their first break in music – John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. The Cavern Club is the infamous venue where the Fab Four cut their teeth before journeying onto world domination.
Beatles Statues in Liverpool
There are various statues and sculptures around the city of The Beatles, both outside it and in the city centre. The stand-out statue of John Lennon is the bronze statue that was initially created in 1996 by David Webster. Its inspiration was The Beatles‘ pre-mop-top days when they played in Hamburg. However the head has since been vandalised and replaced by David Webster again.

It’s not just about music and The Beatles on Mathew Street, as there are a lot of quaint little independent shops, restaurants and cafes. It’s a great street for another side of the cultural mecca, Liverpool.
Visit Liverpool Cathedral
Liverpool Cathedral is one of the most iconic buildings in the city. It is more than just a heritage site, though, as it is still an active place of worship. Covering an area of 687.4 square metres, it is no small church. Its height, including the tower, is an impressive 331 feet, making it one of the tallest non-spired churches in the world and Liverpool’s third-tallest. And designated as a Grade I listed building on the National Heritage List for England.
Whether you want to visit to worship, pray, do something else religious, or want to check out the spectacular architecture, it is open to the public. One of the most notable things about this spiritual building is its tower, which you can go up to the top of and have stunning 360-degree views of the city in all its glory.
As the Cathedral is 1.6 miles from Cruise Liverpool Terminal, it will take about 33 minutes to walk there. If you get a taxi or book an Uber, you can get there in 12 minutes.
There is also a second cathedral called the Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral that’s worth checking out as well.
