Here’s some more facts about Symphony of the Seas so you too can appreciate why this is going to be such an awesome addition to the family cruise market. Symphony of the Seas: restaurants
There will be eight complimentary restaurants for families to choose from plus 12 speciality eateries including Jamie’s Italian and Johnny Rockets. On the menu will be a whopping 300 different meal options across the ship. Take that fussy eaters!

Symphony of the Seas: activities
You’ll find 23 pools, waterslides and Flowriders onboard Symphony of the Seas. Dare you ride the 10 storey Ultimate Abyss slide – the tallest waterslide at sea. Or what about The Perfect Storm trio of water slides? There’s also plenty of poolside fun for kids in the Splashaway Bay water park.

Symphony of the Seas has seven zones designed for families so spend time together or apart doing the things they love best. For frazzled adults there’s the Sea Spa and Fitness Centre or quiet spots in Central Park to enjoy a book or some retail therapy. Meanwhile younger passengers will enjoy hanging out in the Youth, Pool and Sports zones, with climbing walls, a games arcade, a zip line, mini golf and sports courts.
The award-winning and complimentary Adventure Ocean® Youth Programme is a great place for kids to make new friends and learn new skills. Plus there’s Royal Babies for tots aged six to 36 months (additional charge).

Symphony of the Seas: entertainment
Royal Caribbean are really pushing the envelop with the entertainment onboard Symphony of the Seas. Performers in the AquaTheatre will use 10 meter Olympic diving boards as part of their show. You can also see the Tony-award winning Hairspray and a time-traveling show on ice in Studio B. For the adventurous there’s a laser tag area and escape room-style challenge with a submarine theme.

Symphony of the Seas: family suite
We couldn’t leave you without another look at that Ultimate Family Suite. This two-level family stateroom boasts a slide and a floor-to-ceiling LEGO wall and a 3D movie theater-style room

Symphony of the Seas: sailing dates
Symphony of the Seas will debut in the Mediterranean in April 2018, calling on ports in Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca, Spain; Provence, France; and Florence/Pisa, Rome and Naples, Italy. However, there are pre-opening sailings from Barcelona in March.
From November 24, 2018, it will make Miami, Florida her year-round home, sailing 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean voyages. Take a look at the Royal Caribbean website for all available itineraries.
